You'll love holing up after a long day exploring in this chic and cosy apartment. It's a mish-mash of styles – think traditional shuttered windows with Juliet balconies, square yellow chairs and colourful art prints all swirled together – but something about it works, and we have no doubt you'll feel right at home. The glossy kitchen impresses, too – when you're not out and about, you can rustle up tapas to share alongside a bottle of wine around the table. We also love the main bedroom, with its walk-in wardrobe, lavish en-suite and a sleek white colour scheme creating a glamorous haven where you can unwind. And, of course, there's the excellent location. Salamanca is a hotbed of upscale eateries, trendy cocktail bars and designer shopping. Enjoy morning strolls through Parque de El Retiro (a twelve-minute walk), dine on gourmet meals at Platea Madrid food hall (five minutes on foot) or hop on the metro and do some sightseeing – Serrano station is only steps away. Whatever you get up to, there's no denying that this is a lively spot with plenty to keep you busy – whether it's your first time in Madrid or you're a seasoned visitor.

Local guide

About Salamanca

Salamanca is Madrid’s most glamorous and prestigious quarter. Usually associated with aristocratic façades, wide avenues, and luxurious living (atypical for Madrid’s cosy centre), the neighbourhood attracts domestic and international elite. It’s also home to many embassies and private schools, as well as niche museums and designer boutiques along its ‘Golden Mile’. The demanding clientele has made the food scene equally exclusive, but while you’re likely to find quite a few Michelin-star restaurants in the area, there are lots of relaxed tapas bars for those less willing to splash the cash.
