Elegance is the order of the day at this smart home in the heart of Madrid's Salamanca district. It's perfect for families and friends who enjoy the finer things in life, and are excited to enjoy a luxurious stay in the Spanish capital. It's impossible not to be enchanted by this sophisticated space, with its wooden flooring, gorgeous selection of furniture, and huge windows that usher in plenty of natural light. You'll love opening up a bottle of Rioja and getting comfortable on the sofa, or gathering your fellow guests around the table to share a home-cooked meal fresh from the kitchen. There's even a balcony, where you can sip your morning coffee or enjoy an alfresco sundowner as you watch the world go by. You'll find plenty of eateries in the surrounding streets, from traditional tapas spots to Japanese joints and pizza places. Take a ten-minute stroll over to Calle Serrano, home to a range of luxury boutiques, to indulge in some retail therapy. Or, wander to one of the nearby cultural institutions – the National Library Museum and National Archaeological Museum are both within easy reach. And, if you fancy travelling further afield, then just jump on the metro at Velázquez – the station is just five minutes away.

Local guide
About Salamanca
Salamanca is Madrid’s most glamorous and prestigious quarter. Usually associated with aristocratic façades, wide avenues, and luxurious living (atypical for Madrid’s cosy centre), the neighbourhood attracts domestic and international elite. It’s also home to many embassies and private schools, as well as niche museums and designer boutiques along its ‘Golden Mile’. The demanding clientele has made the food scene equally exclusive, but while you’re likely to find quite a few Michelin-star restaurants in the area, there are lots of relaxed tapas bars for those less willing to splash the cash.
