With one of the most sought-after locations in Madrid, this home is already ahead of the pack. Just steps from the Royal Palace of Madrid and the Teatro Real, it's as right in the heart of things as you're likely to get. Your home is set in a traditional period building in El Madrid de Los Austrias, the old name for the centre of this beautiful city. Here, history comes alive with ancient monuments, churches and palaces, and it attracts those keen to take in the city's architectural delights. Inside, it's a smart, unfussy apartment that's perfect for a family or a few friends sharing, thanks to its two ensuite bedrooms. As you'd hope, there's plenty of character to this home, with high ceilings, tall windows and shutters, as well as our favourite city apartment feature: wrought-iron Juliet balconies. But it's far from old-fashioned, with a fresh, contemporary look and pops of yellow and orange in the comfy furnishings. With a sociable flow through from the bright living room to the eat-in kitchen, you can all spend time together as your prepare for a meal at home or a night on the town. You just happen to be surrounded by some of Madrid's finest traditional restaurants.
