Set around an internal zen garden and cut into the grounds of the Getty Museum, the flora of this Hollywood Hills home is a cut above the rest. Vertical gardens of bursting greenery line the zen garden walls, and the grand lounge, sleek kitchen and dining room are all set around this glass box of botanica. It sits in a quarter acre of landscaped indigenous trees and shrubs, illuminated dramatically at night. Follow the winding paths down the garden and you’ll stumble across the hillside lounge, with sweeping views. At the top of the home you’ll find a lip of a terrace jutting out, offering panoramic views from the pristine swimming pool. Up here you’ll also find alfresco dining for the whole group and loungers and day beds to soak up the California sun. A second terrace is on the ground floor, where bedrooms have glass sliding doors to blend indoors with outdoors. It’s not often we call a bathroom a highlight, but the master bedroom’s ensuite has a black, egg-shaped tub that looks through an invisible wall out over the sparkling lights of LA, and the view from the shower (that’s right, the shower) are equally as impressive. As well... as having the Getty Museum on your doorstep, there are the trails of Runyon Canyon Park. That’s not to mention the easy, ten-minute drive to Hollywood Boulevard where you’ll find a huge selection of luxury shops and fine dining restaurants.
