Who knew Notting Hill could be so bucolic? Moments from the wonderful rumpus of Portobello Road is a home with all the hush of a cottage sitting back from the lane. You can't get more homely than this even if it was draped in honeysuckle. Filled with mews streets, stucco mansions and green spaces, Holland Park is an idyllic neighbourhood sandwiched between Notting Hill, Kensington and Shepherd's Bush. Holland Park itself is one of London's most picturesque green spaces with a rich history. Today, the park boasts an open-air theatre and opera, Japanese-style Kyoto Gardens and a family playground.
