Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Built in 1860, this charming and wonderful home is utterly enchanting. Situated right on the Ionian Sea, you'll have a birds-eye view of the sparkling water, ancient Greco-Roman theatre and historic Taormina from the many terraces. Trust us – it'll be hard to pull yourself away from the scenery. We're also in love with the tropical garden, where wild bougainvillaea scents the air and leafy lemon trees provide shade from the sun. There are plenty of foliage-wrapped nooks and crannies where you can relax with a cup of tea and a good book and bask in the serene surroundings. As the day draws to a close, gather for a Sicilian feast at the outdoor dining area, sipping wine and watching the sunset. Inside, you can genuinely sense the 150-year-old heritage. Every room is overflowing with well-thumbed books and antique furniture, while traditional features and handpainted tiles retain all the local history. You'll instantly be charmed by the sumptuous sofas, brick archways and old-world stylings – we know we are. But the best part of all is the location. This home is perfect for exploring Taormina's ancient streets, only a few minutes from the bustling city centre and picturesque Isola Bella. In town, there are endless options for drinking, dining and shopping – from seafront restaurants to casual cafes – and the beach is a short ride away on the funicular, ideal for lounging in the sun.

This home is managed by Oliver

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.

This home is a Plum Guide Award winner.
