We love the open-plan layout, too – while home cooks rustle up dinner in the chrome-plated kitchen, others can share a bottle of wine around the dining table or lounge on the sofa. Step through the French doors into the beautiful garden and bask underneath clear blue skies. Idle away the afternoon swimming in the crystal clear pool, lounging with a cocktail under the shady umbrella and digging into fresh-grilled seafood on the terrace come dinnertime. As the sun begins to set, head upstairs to the sublime roof terrace and watch the night roll in, feeling completely relaxed. A twenty-minute walk away is Istria's dazzling coastline, so don your comfiest shoes and set off on foot. If it's the beach you crave, Lanterna is a half-hour walk. When your feet need a break, hop on one of the bikes and cycle to the local restaurants or marina, or visit the bars, shops and historic sites in Poreč, seventeen minutes by car.
