Dating back a hundred years, this remarkable villa close to the south coastline of Split is a shining example of how a property's historical character can be preserved in the restoration process. The home's interior retains an air of grandeur, with antique wooden furnishings, high ceilings and glossy tiled flooring, but there are plenty more modern additions. The bathrooms are ultra-sleek with a couple of large tubs and there's also a gym, sauna and library up on the first floor. We'd be willing to bet that the swimming pool wasn't there when the home was built in the early twentieth century, but it'll be no less appreciated during the summer months — the same can be said for the Jacuzzi, too. One thing that hasn't changed in the intervening years is just how breathtaking the sea view is from this outdoor space and it makes for a beautiful backdrop as you dine under the pergola. One thing we really love is the different options that the location offers. Plaža Ježinac sits just around the corner when you fancy a dip in the sea and the Old Town is only twenty minutes away on foot. The forests and walking routes of Marjan Hill are a ten-minute walk away, too.
