With a superb location in the Norfolk Broads village that's closest to the coast, this fully modernised traditional cottage is smart, practical and supremely comfortable. With everything you could need for cooking at home, as well as the village pub just a matter of metres from your door, it's the perfect base for a trip that covers both the area's famous wetlands and its sandy beaches. Inside, its crisp, white decor and open-plan layout keeps everything uncluttered, while touches of blue act as a reminder of the sea nearby. And we love the big bathroom, with both a bath and a walk-in rainfall shower. But the main attraction here has to be the garden, which is fully enclosed, with a flat lawn perfect for children to play on. In the summer months, sit out on the sun loungers, grill some tasty treats on the barbecue and eat at the outdoor table. Just a ten-minute walk along a footpath from your home, the Norfolk Broad known as Horsey Mere is a great spot for wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers, with a famous windmill and incredible views. You may even be lucky enough to see one of the area's endangered European cranes. And twenty... minutes by foot in the other direction will take you to Horsey Gap's long, sandy beach – known for its population of seals. Visit between November and February for a chance to see pups on the sand.
