This villa is set at the centre of it all, just a six-minute drive to postcard-ready, coastal scenes of the rocky Platja Fonda, or seven minutes to Begur’s hilltop castle. And even better, it’s all in full view of the Montañas de Begur. Built on similarly sloped terrain, this grand entrance will have you ascending the traditional white and terracotta staircase on its facade. This warm orange brickwork continues around the windows, while balconies and railings wrap around every exposed edge – maximising the opportunities for mountain views. On one of your two large terraces, maybe an evening barbecue is in order, grilling fresh fish alongside classic Catalan pa amb tomàquet. After the sun goes down, head inside to admire the traditional, homely decor and rustic wooden furniture. Tiled floors throughout will keep your feet cool on balmy evenings, in the same way the lush trees keep your terraces shady in the day. Or on a rare chilly evening, you might fancy pouring a glass of local red wine by the brick fireplace before bedtime.
