The views across the water are second-to-none, and you'll be able to relish in them whether you're gathered around the picnic table or lounging on the couch. Wake up each morning to the sun glistening off the bay, then pad into the country-style kitchen for a lazy breakfast and spot of tea. Afternoons are best spent relaxing in the garden, sipping Pimm's and watching the boats float by. When evening arrives, head inside for a delicious dinner, followed by a movie night in front of the crackling log burner. Uig is an absolute dream for walkers – there's a myriad of trails and routes to suit all different levels, ranging from leisurely strolls around the village to treks across the Trotternish Ridge. Castle Ewen (six-minute drive), The Fairy Glen (eight minutes by car) and the Rha Waterfalls (walkable in twenty) are all must-visits, but for a slower pace, why not relax with a local ale at The Isle Of Skye Brewing Company (ten minutes on foot), which overlooks the sea.
