Les Alpilles is a great place to stay if you’re keen to be active on your holiday – don’t worry though, there’s still plenty of opportunity for eating pastries and sipping wine. Head to the pretty hilltop town of Eygalières – just seventeen minutes away – to ride bikes or take the children pony-trekking. The scenery is breath-taking. History buffs will enjoy a day trip to Avignon, where you’ll find two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The journey takes thirty-eight minutes and you’ll be rewarded with rich history, a lively art and culture scene and Michelin-starred restaurants. Back at the villa after a busy day, relax on the terrace with a book while the kids splash in the pool or play on the swings. Once they’ve gone to bed, spend some time in the Jacuzzi gazing up at the night sky.
