Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This joyful masterpiece celebrates colour, pattern and texture at every turn. Originally built at the turn of the last century with furnituremakers in mind, this unique live/work space has been designed and decorated by interiors expert Rachel Chudley. Entry from the street is through a custom wrought-iron gate bearing the house number, which leads into the first of two calming courtyards. Step inside, and you'll discover the real beauty of this home, a breathtaking kitchen with a glass wall and vast skylights, and an eye-catching living room. Both open out onto the second internal courtyard so you can be hanging out in separate spaces yet feel connected. A staircase leads up to the first floor, where you'll find the bedrooms. In the master, a Crittall-style glass and wood partition separates the en-suite bathroom from the sleeping area, allowing light to flow effortlessly between the two. The home is situated on the edge of Bethnal Green and Hackney, offering easy access to two of East London's most happening neighbourhoods. Within ten minutes, you can be enjoying a peaceful canalside stroll past Victoria Park, picking out flowers at Columbia Road Flower Market (every Sunday), or tucking into sumptuous street food at Broadway Market (Saturdays only). A little further afield, the bustling nightlife of Shoreditch is a mile away.
