Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Located in the town of Kensington amid the Berkeley Hills, this home provides a great base for a family looking to explore California’s coast. It’s a lived-in family home and some of the rooms may appear a little messy, but it has plenty to keep you entertained. There are lots of books and games here for the kids and when it’s the right season, you can pick fruit and vegetables in the front garden. Kensington’s small centre has a few shops and café, but if you’re looking for more hustle and bustle you can catch the commuter bus to vibrant San Francisco.

About Berkeley
Synonymous with free-thinking and left-wing politics, Berkeley (a short hop on the BART across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco) has a population of about 120,000. And after five minutes here it will feel like 119,000 of them are idealistic students. On bicycles. If you can’t beat them, join them (hey, you can’t navigate ‘Frisco’s hills on two wheels) - the best way to explore this hippie hangout is on...
