Fall in love with Lisbon from the comfort of this sumptuous apartment in the heart of the city. Perched on the border between elegant Baixa and bustling Chiado, this home boasts an idyllic location and is within steps of Lisbon's historic centre and most cherished landmarks. You'll find this home nestled in an elegant street of eighteenth-century Pombaline architecture. Inside, the apartment is newly renovated, despite its historic facade, and spread across one floor. Rooms are spacious and light-filled, flaunting stylish furniture and modern amenities. A palette of neutral tones cloaks both double bedrooms, made sweeter by their dreamy street views. There are three bathrooms, including a nifty powder room, and a washer and dryer. We love the open plan kitchen and lounge, thoughtfully separated by a latticed wall of exposed beams, inviting natural light to fill the space. The fully-fitted kitchen offers everything you need for cooking up a feast, including a microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and coffee maker. Spend mornings gathered around the six-seater dining table, tucking into breakfast as you plan the day's itinerary. If you can bear to leave this peaceful pad, you're just a four-minute stroll away from the triumphal Rua August Arch. Plus, the medieval sites of Lisbon Cathedral, São Jorge Castle and the Carmo Convent are all reachable within ten minutes on foot.

About Chiado

Chiado is full of old-world charm, and is one of the best-loved parts of Lisbon. Think pastel-hued homes, cobbled streets and plenty of squares to soak up the atmosphere. There’s a slower pace of life in Chiado, which is why it’s so popular with locals. Hop on a tram to take in the open-air ruin of the Camo church, a Gothic masterpiece that was mostly destroyed in an earthquake, or hit the shops – this is one of Lisbon’s best shopping districts, after all.
