A remarkable villa that has been extensively renovated since it was established in 1426 and has been designated as a historical monument by Greek Archaeological authorities. Now a fantastic holiday home for you and your loved ones with original character combined with contemporary amenities. The villa's two wings are linked by a stunning covered walkway built by none other than globally famous architect Yiannis Kalitsounas, who created a confluence of light, glass, and space, bringing different cultures and times together in one spot. The towering walls of this residence provide peace and solitude while remaining in the heart of the village, Maroulas village, which is a heritage site and a thriving community surrounded by happiness. The swimming pool, surrounded by soothing scenery, is a great spot to relax in the sun or the shade of a lemon tree, and don't forget about movie night with the video projector – have the popcorn ready. If you're feeling adventurous, go on an ATV excursion from Rethymno, go off-roading in the mountainous terrain of Crete's northern shore. Splash through streams, weave through old gorges, and search for island wildlife while driving a personal quad vehicle that can visit tucked-away regions encircling Maroulas Mountain. Get a taste of Cretan history and culture at many stops, including a classic Greek coffeehouse and 11th-century mediaeval towns.
