Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

If you're looking for a countryside getaway with a bit of a twist, why not try one of these boutique shepherd's lodges found in a green plot just outside the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty? Although they may look rustic from the outside, you can be sure that you won't be skimping on the luxuries here. There's a wood-burning fireplace to keep the interior toasty and warm, as well as some chic design touches, like the faux fur rug and floral blinds. The kitchen might be on the compact side, but there's everything you need to rustle up simple dinners. Besides, there's a barbecue out on the terrace if you fancy cooking alfresco, plus a table for enjoying your efforts out in the open air. Once plates have been cleared away, you can light up the fire pit or the wood-fired spa pool for an added touch of decadence. There's also a pair of loungers if you prefer to spend your time horizontal instead. On the site, you'll find a communal games barn with tables for ping-pong and foosball, as well as outdoor chess. Further afield, there are a wealth of attractions in the local area, including walks along the banks of the River Dart, a jaunt to Blackpool Sands fifteen minutes away in the car or a day of shopping in Totnes, twenty-five minutes' drive away.

About Dartmouth

A stopping point for the Mayflower on its voyage to the New World, and also reportedly where Queen Elizabeth II fell in love with Prince Philip, this small, picturesque waterfront town overlooking the River Dart has a surprisingly dense history. In the town's narrow, winding streets, a mix of retirees, families, and sailing enthusiasts mingles with tourists, particularly in the summer. Each year during the Regatta, the town's population more...
