Split across two equally charming, traditionally Croatian villas, this home has plenty of room for a big group to spread out. It feels as though there are endless options for lounging outside – on loungers beneath wooden pergolas, on plush outdoor sofas on patios and on deckchairs in the shade. There are also a handful of alfresco dining options; a cluster of comfy seats and coffee tables for a casual set-up, or for the whole group in the dedicated outdoor dining room, covered and with a built-in barbecue. The highlight of the outdoors has to be the swimming pool though, glittering and inviting you for a dip on a sunny day. The main villa houses four of the bedrooms within its honey-brown walls. Here you’ll find an open-plan living area streaming with sunshine from floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors, and a table for group dinners inside. There’s a boho charm to woven lampshades and pops of green add a touch of holiday cheer. The second villa houses two of the bedrooms and has its own open-plan living space with a second kitchen and dining area in striking black and red. You’re in the heart of the Istrian countryside here, where the hills are filled with hikes to secret waterfalls, rolling vineyards and the crumbling ruins of castles. The Slovenian border is less than twenty minutes drive and if you want to head to the coast, the charming ancient fishing village of Poreč juts out into the sea a forty-minute drive away. Closer to home, explore the idyllic streets of medieval Motovun, a five-minute drive.
