And only an eight-minute walk from the lush Botanical Garden, this apartment also echoes the vibe of its locale. Creative yet classy, stepping into this home feels like an escape from the bustle of the city. We love the diverse range of organic textures, from wicker chairs to handwoven tapestries lining the walls by the sofa. One of the most striking features in this open-plan space is the wall-mounted, celosia wood carving – particularly when set in contrast against the trendy charcoal-coloured wall. While this earthy palette continues throughout, with nods to Saharan influence and design, the apartment isn't quite ‘down to earth’. From up here you can peer over the balconette in the bedroom to admire views of the famous terracotta rooftops, a glass of douro in hand.
