New Orleans is a city with no shortage of historic architecture but if you're more into modernity when it comes to personal accommodation, this recently built townhouse is sure to appeal. Found in the Mid-City neighbourhood, there's an abundance of natural light, thanks to the tall windows, high ceilings and open-concept arrangement in the communal living space. This asset is emphasised by the hardwood floors, glossy white surfaces in the minimalist kitchen and the walls painted in muted shades of grey. The choice of furnishings is similarly pared-back, making for an address that feels chic and restrained. Given the glorious climate that this corner of Louisiana enjoys, the presence of a large outdoor space is another big bonus. As well as two balconies with seating, there's a pergola at ground level with benches and tables underneath ready for an alfresco feast. How could we forget to mention the oversized chess set situated in the middle of the lawn, too? Regardless if you're a first-timer in The Big Easy or a return visitor, there's much to like about Mid-City. The local area is a lot more residential than some of the city's livelier spots, but there are plenty of attractions that sit close by. New Orleans Museum of Art takes just over twenty minutes to reach on foot while the famous French Quarter is only a ten-minute taxi ride away.

About New Orleans

New Orleans is one lively city – whether we’re talking food, candy-coloured architecture or nightlife, there’s nowhere else in the United States – or even the world – quite like this Louisianan cultural mecca. You’ll find indigenous cuisine here that hybridizes Caribbean, African and European influences – so embrace your inner hedonist and dive head first into Gumbo, beignets and po’ boys. It’s a city where jazz is as prevalent...
