For a home in Barcelona away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy hotspots, but still within easy reach of every major sight, look no further. This charming apartment is one of seven in a quiet block in the L’Hospitalet de Llobregat suburb – it’s the perfect place to live like a local. The neighbourhood is as authentic as they come, with lots of lush parks to enjoy. We recommend starting your stay with a trip to Mercat de Collblanc, a fabulously lively market just a six-minute walk from the apartment. There you’ll be able to buy the freshest local produce – perhaps for a picnic in the park? If you’d prefer instead to simply soak up the atmosphere and admire the Art Deco build, you might plump for a few rounds of tapas in one of the bars. Getting into the thick of things is almost effortless – you need only stroll six minutes to the Torrassa metro stop to make your way into the centre of the city. A sixteen-minute journey can take you to the impressive Plaza Espana, with its statues and fountain. Whether you’re a staunch football fan or not, you can’t help but be... awestruck by the atmosphere of Camp Nou. The home of FC Barcelona is just a fourteen-minute walk from the apartment, so it’s absolutely worth going for a tour even if you can’t get tickets to a match.
