When you feel rejuvenated, explore the local area. You can taste the local wine in many vineyards dotted around, or head to the village of Castiglione, nestled upon a hill on the north side of Mount Etna (thirteen minutes by car) or visit Piedimonte, a twenty-eight-minute drive. If you prefer a day at the beach, then Fiumefreddo is just over thirty-five minutes away.
