Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Once the residence of a local noble lineage, this renovated country home provides a tranquil base for families and large groups. You'll find it nestled in verdant hillslopes, boasting five acres of lush landscaped gardens and panoramic views of the medieval town of Valfabbrica. Here, the famous Sentiero di San Francesco hiking trail is practically on your doorstep, while the beautiful towns of Perugia and Assisi are less than a thirty-minute drive away. At first glance, this home charms with its rustic stone facade. Inside, it's all exposed beam ceilings, terracotta tiled floors and traditional furnishings. We especially love the country kitchen, fully equipped for home cooking and seamlessly connected to the lounge and dining room through wide, sweeping archways. After a restful slumber in the spacious sleeping quarters, fire up the Moka pot and enjoy espressos on the patio. Outside, expansive gardens offer ample space for relaxing in the sun. Spend your days catnapping on a sun lounger or tucking into a picnic amidst the foliage. On balmy evenings, gather for alfresco feasts on the wood-fired oven and masonry barbecue before curling up in the cosy lounge by the warm glow of the fireplace.

About Assisi

For centuries, travellers have been flocking to Assisi in pilgrimage to St Francis, the patron saint of Italy who was born here in 1182. Nestled halfway between Rome and Florence, its UNESCO World Heritage status shows that there's more to this hilltop hamlet than religious roots – although the churches are pretty magnificent. The crowning glory is La Basilica di San Francesco, built in honour of St Francis and home...
