There’s no doubting the USP of this Victorian period home – Sea Palling’s vast expanses of sandy beach is just an eight-minute jaunt along the coastal bridle path that starts right outside your door. Spend lazy days building sandcastles and paddling. Take a stroll along to Waxham (fifteen minutes on foot) and, a smidge further along, Horsey for seal spotting. Or pack up the car for an adventure further afield – all the Norfolk coastal greats are nearby, starting at Winterton-on-Sea (a fifteen-minute drive). When tummies start to rumble, the village centre (a ten-minute walk) delivers all the seaside charms you’re chasing with traditional cafes, an obligatory fish and chip shop, a welcoming inn, and a local shop for lashings of ice cream. Or head back home to fire up the barbecue in the garden. Fabulous for a family holiday (including your furry friends), rustle up drinks at the outside bar, then get together in the hot tub for golden hour – the outdoor speakers will bring the ambience. In cooler months, take things inside to soak up those views of the dunes from the open plan living room (a vista enjoyed from the dining room and bedrooms, too)...

About The Broads

Straddling both Norfolk and Suffolk, The Broads now house over a quarter of the UK’s rarest animals and plants, with water voles, cuckoos and European eel all found among its habitats. Spend your time in The Broads paddling along the navigable waterways, spotting the traditional windmills that...
