Once upon a time, this property close to the town of North Walsham was a coach house, but pay a visit today and you'll find a charmingly rustic home ideal for a peaceful getaway. Aside from the wooden ceiling beams, there's very little in the interior that gives away the industrious heritage. Instead, you'll find cleansingly white walls, a super-sleek black kitchen and a cleverly designed mezzanine bedroom. If the weather's on your side during your stay, there's a pretty courtyard with flourishing plants that makes for a lovely setting to sip morning coffee and plan the day ahead — alternatively, you can finish off a productive afternoon with a session on the barbecue. There's certainly plenty to do nearby. Bacton Woods is only ten minutes' drive away and is great for bird spotting or easy rambles. Bacton Beach takes the same amount of time to reach and is one of a great selection of rugged spots that sit along the Norfolk coastline.

Great Yarmouth enjoys the best of both worlds where a long beach provides days of paddling in the shallows and wandering the promenade, ice-cream in hand. It also acts as the jumping-off point for boat trips puttering into the wildlife-filled Broads. Further...
