Perhaps best known for jazz, New Orleans is also a multicultural gem set deep in the South of America. Whilst occupying this home – with charm as sweet as the beignets the city is known for – expect for the streets beyond to come calling. Restaurants specialising in the creole and cajun recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation sit within walking distance, and so do WWII museums, art galleries and shops. If you fancy yourself a gambler, Harrah’s New Orleans is only a ten-minute walk away and has over two-thousand slot machines and several places to eat. If your stay is a working retreat, this would even be a good way to entertain clients whilst you break away from calls and spreadsheets in the study. There is a definite cosiness here that’ll make you feel right at home whether you’re mixing up grasshopper cocktails, stargazing on the roof terrace, or watching a movie with the family.
