Rather fittingly for a city renowned for its fashion influence on the global stage, this apartment sits a mere five minutes' walk from Corsa Buenos Aries, the street in Europe with the highest concentration of clothing shops. It must be said that the home itself is quietly stylish, too. The classic combination of wooden floors and stark white walls provides a stellar canvas on which colourful pieces of artwork and attention-grabbing lighting can pop off, while the furnishings are simple, but effectively so. Throw in a minimalist kitchen full of sleek surfaces and an equally pristine bathroom, and you've got yourself a superb base from which to explore the city. As well as no end of shops to explore, the 18th-century Indro Montanelli Garden takes a quarter of an hour to reach on foot and the Pinacoteca di Brera gallery is half an hour away, too.

About Stazione Centrale

While it may lack the glamour and history of the more central areas, Stazione Centrale shouldn’t be overlooked. The station itself is something to behold - a behemoth of steel, glass and marble built in the 1930s to inspire awe as travellers arrived in Italy. The area is a bustling hive of activity, filled with small businesses and international cuisines of all types, allowing a more varied experience of Milan...
