Up on a hill in the breathtaking Roman countryside, this 19th century cottage combines rustic charm with modern comforts and a stunning setting. Nestled amongst pine trees in an estate overlooking the Marcigliana Nature Reserve, you are totally ensconced in nature and privacy. Original 19th century facets of the cottage have been preserved, like the wooden beamed ceiling, diamond paned windows, and stone fireplace, while down a grassy slope there is a private outdoor swimming pool with views down to the River Tiber. Start the day with a refreshing dip, before enjoying breakfast al fresco at the outdoor table. The cottage is on the outskirts of Settebagni, and cafes, shops and supermarkets can be reached within ten minutes on foot. The centre of Rome is easily reachable – just thirty minutes away by car, or forty five minutes door to door by train. For anyone who wants to explore the delights of a big city while having the serenity and space offered by the countryside, look no further.
