Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Nothing we say can do justice to this one-of-a-kind trullo home in Apulia. With natural stone walls, antique furniture and spectacular conical ceilings, it'll transport you straight to the past. But don't let the old-timey aesthetic fool you – this home is fully kitted out with all the modern amenities you'll need, from the lake-effect swimming pool to the well-equipped kitchen (complete with a fun strawberry-red fridge). Sounds like the best of both worlds to us. And when you're not taking in the unique wonders of this tranquil trullo, there's plenty to explore in the surrounding area. Your closest village, Ceglie Messapica, is one of the oldest in Puglia, a mere twenty-minute walk away. Shops, cafés and restaurants await among the picturesque streets. If you're travelling by car – which we suggest you do – you'll reach the small whitewashed city of Ostuni in just fifteen minutes. This hilltop hamlet clusters around a triumphal arch, demonstrating stunning examples of Gothic, Romanesque and Byzantine architecture. At the end of your excursion, pass through centuries-old olive trees to return home and relax in the last of the day's heat.

About Ostuni

You’ll probably spot Ostuni long before you reach the so-called White City of Puglia. It rises up on three hills, above the rust-red earth punctuated by olive trees. Shambling, narrow streets lead up the hillside to the crowning 12th-century Ostuni Cathedral. It’s a veritable labyrinth of ancient alleyways, where you can sample traditional Puglian fare like handmade orecchiette and oozing dollops of burrata in terrace restaurants, or taste a Salice...
