Your closest village, Ceglie Messapica, is one of the oldest in Puglia, a mere twenty-minute walk away. Shops, cafés and restaurants await among the picturesque streets. If you're travelling by car – which we suggest you do – you'll reach the small whitewashed city of Ostuni in just fifteen minutes. This hilltop hamlet clusters around a triumphal arch, demonstrating stunning examples of Gothic, Romanesque and Byzantine architecture. At the end of your excursion, pass through centuries-old olive trees to return home and relax in the last of the day's heat.
