This beautiful home ticks every box when it comes to a romantic place to stay. It’s tucked away in the countryside – but close enough to pubs and restaurants to be practical – so the views are glorious. You can spend your time curled up in front of the log burner, or sipping champers in the hot tub on the balcony. The house is an eight-minute drive to the town of Thame. It’s at the foot of the Chilterns, so if you fancy stretching your legs there are lots of walks for you to enjoy. Otherwise you can spend your time strolling around the town, shopping in the markets that are held several times a week, and admiring the medieval, Georgian and Victorian architecture. If you’re anything like us, though, you’ll find it hard to tear yourselves away from this home. Your every need is catered for here so you’ll be in the lap of luxury. Open up the bi-fold doors to the garden in summer and dine alfresco, enjoying the outdoor space. Soak away your troubles in the magnificent bathtub, before slipping between the softest sheets. You’ll never want to leave.
