It’s not every day that you get to wake up in a 19th-century castle, so when we came across this gorgeous home in France’s southern Occitanie region, we knew we had to have it in our collection. Situated in the heart of the verdant French countryside, this sprawling estate is the perfect setting for your next family reunion, boasting a grand total of thirteen bedrooms and a whole host of luxury amenities. You’ll live like a king here, spending long summer days lounging by the private swimming pool and feasting on delicious French meals in the castle grounds. Challenge your fellow guests to a friendly game of pool in the billiards room or round everyone up and head to the outdoor cinema – a former tobacco drying shed – for a movie night like no other. There’s no need to venture far here – if you fancy exploring, the small village of Montjoi is only twenty minutes away on foot and is teeming with old-school charm. Spend a morning exploring its gorgeous, cobbled streets then jump in the car and head south to Auvillar – one of France’s most beautiful villages – for your fill of amazing... French architecture.
