Though not off-grid, this home has a real feel of being off the beaten track, great if you’re looking for a secluded spot to switch off and properly rejuvenate. The cosy interior – natural wood tones and fluffy blankets – can help with that, and so can the fresh air of the large outdoor area. Spend the day reading sprawled out on the couch with only the snap and pop of the wood-burning stove for company. Come night time, you might find yourself drawn out to admire the stars with a hot chocolate in hand. For a small dose of city living, you can drive an hour to Copenhagen or go see the sights at Kronborg Castle, but it’s the luscious scenery of North and East Zealand that’s the real attraction here.
