Situated right where Kieler Förde meets the Baltic Sea, this is one of the most renowned sailing harbours in the world, so boat trips, kite surfing and windsurfing are a given. There's a protected nature reserve just a quick twenty-minute stroll away, where you'll find a sandy beach ideal for summer afternoons by the ocean. For day trips, Kiel is about a thirty-minute drive away – it's an excellent option for a day trip.
