This cottage can be found in Denmark’s pretty Marielyst, within easy reach of the beach – eight minutes away by car – and Bøtøskoven national forest, which is eleven minutes away on foot. It offers incredible outside space, as well as a stylish and comfortable interior. If you’re hoping to get away from the hustle and bustle of big cities, and to relax and unwind in the Great Outdoors, this is the perfect choice. When you wake up in the morning – no doubt to the sound of birds chirping in the trees that surround the home – you can look forward to a big family breakfast around the dining room table. Glass patio doors open out onto the terrace, adding a sense of indoor/outdoor living to the space – the kitchen and dining area is flooded with light and views of the verdant garden. The kids will likely be itching to get outside, desperate to play in their very own playground. Even if they choose to stay indoors they’ll be easily entertained in the games room. Happily, this means you can lie out in the sunshine, soaking up the tranquillity. To take your relaxation to the next level, you might slip into the outdoor hot tub, or make use of the sauna. In the evening, cook dinner on the grill and dine alfresco under the covered terrace. When the plates have been cleared away, you might make your way to the fire pit to toast marshmallows and tell campfire stories.
