This charming cottage nestled amidst lush greenery and fragrant flowers, a short walk from a white, sandy beach is a dream spot for a relaxing Nordic holiday. Built in 1950 and restored in 2017, this gorgeous home retains all of its original character while at the same time offering modern comforts. Outside, you can relax and enjoy laid-back meals in the dining area or simply take some time to lounge about, listening to nature sounds and catching up on your holiday reads. The inside will welcome you with a cosy and warm ambience – we love the characterful wooden ceiling with its dark beams, and all the elegant pieces lovingly dotted about. Kick off your shoes and chill on the comfy sofa, with the warmth of the wood burner adding to the homey vibe. Rustle up delicious treats in the charming country kitchen and share them with your family and friends at the handsome period dining table. Later, head over to the land of sweet dreams – the main bedroom, as well as the second room located in an annex both offer plush and comfy beds and lovely furnishings, carrying the promise of a good night’s rest. Awake refreshed and sit out on the terrace with a cup of freshly brewed coffee while you plan the day’s adventures. There is plenty to enjoy in the area: there's a reason why Marielyst has been a popular summer destination since the early 1900s. With the stunning sandy beaches and countless hiking and cycling routes to explore the wild woodlands, you’ll feel spoiled for choice. There are also fun activities to be enjoyed with the whole family: from the BonBon-Land amusement park and knight tournaments at the Middelaldercentret to the huge Knuthenborg Safaripark animal reserve, there is something for everyone's taste here.
