This wooden house sits among forest trees, raised on a slight hill where you can survey your kingdom with ease. Despite its traditional look, solar panels and geothermal heating bring this home into the 21st-century, as well as creating a respectful bond with nature. We imagine you’ll spend a lot of time outdoors, whether it’s sipping mjød on the wraparound decking, or freshening up in the outdoor shower on a hot afternoon.
