Open the bifold doors from the gorgeous, light kitchen into the sunny garden – it's the perfect spot to enjoy some alfresco dining. Inside, the large living room's dark, dramatic hues show off the period fireplace to a tee – watch the world go by from the bay window seat or read a book here – there are plenty to choose from. We adore the original corniced ceiling, herringbone wood floors and plush velvet chairs. If you want to keep up your fitness regime, there's a private gym too. Or go for a jog around Clapham Common, around 100 metres away – it's one of London's largest, and oldest public open spaces. Then go for lunch at one of the many eateries nearby. Culture lovers, on the other hand, can head to the Battersea Arts Centre, just over fifteen minutes on foot.

The area is also pretty well-connected with a number of rail stations that will get you into Waterloo and Victoria in around 15 minutes. If you want a bit of piece and quiet while also remaining in touching distance of Central London, Wandsworth could serve you well for your stay.
