Set in a lush, Sicilian landscape is this fashionable, 1970s-designed mid-century villa adorned with carefully chosen decor. Every room is delightfully decorated with thoughtful pops of colour and tasteful vintage and flea market finds, which work together to create an eclectically contemporary ambience. Select a book from the bookshelves and relax on one of two sofas, book in-hand – or choose from the range of art, architecture, fashion, or culture magazines available to you. To the front and side of the house is a terrace leading to a verdant two-acre garden, the perfect space for the children to have fun under the Sicilian sun. You'll find yourself surrounded by marvellous Mediterranean plants that shine in the daylight, alongside an array of cacti, palms and pink as well as violet bougainvillaea. What could be better than some time spent surrounded by nature? The charming centre of Scicli is less than a ten-minute drive from the villa. You’ll find many superb restaurants and bars in this lovely baroque town including well-stocked enotecas and bars with fine selections of wine and spirits. Scicli has an interesting assortment of independent boutiques, including art, fashion and interior shops, as well as bookshops and many artisanal... food shops too. For those who love art and culture, the Palazzo Bonelli-Patanè is well worth a visit.
