Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Spread out over a whopping five floors just off Kensington High Street, this uniquely beautiful family home recently renovated by a leading London designer is a wonderful mix of period charm and contemporary flair. Located on an archetypal residential Kensington road with gleaming white stuccoed facades, as you head through the front door, you will be greeted by a masterful ground level that brings together a boldly botanical dining room, with a strikingly tasteful reception room. The lower ground floor boasts a well appointed kitchen which opens onto a large private garden, as well as a pantry, utility room and TV room. The upper floors share in the home’s eclectic style, with eye-catching wallpapers and furnishings in each room. On the first floor you’ll find the master bedroom, complete with a 6ft-wide super king bed, walk-through dressing room and ensuite. The second floor houses three bedrooms, all of which share a full-sized family bathroom, while on the third floor are another two bedrooms and bathrooms. For us, the feather in the cap has to be the home's garden, which is not only spacious by London standards but has some neatly maintained plant beds and plenty of seating for enjoying balmy London evenings. If you're in the mood for an even more expansive outdoor space, the wondrous Holland Park can be reached in under five minutes on foot and offers a wide choice of gardens. The Design Museum sits just on the outskirts of the park, and The Royal Albert Hall is only a twenty-minute walk away. In fact, as you step out of the house you’ll find you are only a two-minute walk from Kensington High Street, upon which you can find some fabulous restaurants as well as London’s flagship Whole Foods. When you are ready to explore further afield, jump on the Tube from High Street Kensington, a six-minute walk from your door.

Home truths

There are no bedrooms or bathrooms on the ground floor, so the home might not be suitable for those with reduced mobility

The cot in bedroom two has been replaced with twin beds which can be arranged as a 5ft-wide king bed

Bedrooms three and four are better suited to children, as one has a small single bed, and the other has a raised small single bed

There is a seventh bedroom located on the third floor which is a children's room – this room will not be available unless specifically requested

A cot and high chair can be provided if required

Parking in London can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to the easily accessible public transport where possible – High Street Kensington underground station is only six minutes' walk away

About Kensington

Affluent and incredibly central, Kensington is a great base for exploring London on foot. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and so are the Victoria and Albert, Science, and Natural History Museums. The streets are attractive and well maintained (grand, white stucco facades aplenty) and your neighbours will be a wealthy, conservative set. Lots of positives but probably not the place to let your hair down.
