It doesn't get more stylish – and central – than this design-led flat, just two minutes from Rossio Square. Contrasting Lisbon's colourful aesthetic, the sleek home is decorated with a monochrome scheme and touches of luxury throughout, bursting with features to fall in love with. For us, the private balcony with uninterrupted city views had to take the top prize – and we have a feeling you'll agree. Start your day sipping coffee in this scenic spot, and allocate sufficient time to relax on the sofa and admire your surroundings. The swoon-worthy herringbone floors are cleverly highlighted by the lack of colour elsewhere, bringing warmth and a twist of old-school class to the space. The apartment is housed in an artfully renovated building that oozes premium appeal. We expect the grand lobby will bring you joy each time you come and go.

With street performers, Fado shows and lots of unmissable sights, Mouraria should be at the top of your list. A trip through its narrow streets is like stepping back in time, revisiting the rich cultural background even before the great earthquake of 1755. In fact, the story goes that Fado was born in Mouraria, and it’s since made its way to the UNESCO World Heritage list.
