Minutes away from the Arkadi Gorge where you can hike from the Monastery of Arkadi to Pikris village, this home also isn’t far away from the old Venetian village of Rethimno, or the many beaches dotted along the coast. Clearly ideally located to explore the island of Crete through the ages, this villa also offers a magnificent view of the northern coastline from its position at the foot of the Psiloritis mountain. Soak up the vistas, and of course the lovely mediterranean sun, from one of the sunloungers coincidentally also overlooks the crystal clear, private pool that you can dip into whenever you’re in need of cooling down. Spend lazy mornings out and when Helios reaches his peak in the clear blue sky above, you can light the barbecue and grill up a feast to enjoy alfresco. Watch the sun rise and set from one of two balconies, and spend evenings with the living room door wide open as you enjoy good company over a glass of Romeiko. Run a bubble bath before retiring to one of the cosy bedrooms and wake up refreshed the next day to spend another day appreciating this gorgeous island.
