Natural lakes, vast meadows, towering trees – if you like the idea of Dutch countryside scenes, you only need to drive half an hour from Deventer to find them. While this wooden house is located in rural surroundings, it also offers facilities that you might not expect in such an environment. On the way to your forest lodge, a few things might catch your family’s eye en route. There’s a huge communal pool complete with slides, plus playgrounds, basketball courts, and even kids' entertainers in summer. Leave the little ones to explore these exciting activities while you take a moment to relax in your stylish abode. With its lush lawn and verandah out front, there’s plenty of space for picnics, or wholesome brunches in the great outdoors. There’s even a log burner out here for spooky stories around the fire at night. But just inside, the tall, angular shape of the building features cleverly placed windows and glass doors to accentuate bright, modern interiors. We love the lounge, where mid-century pieces meet rustic notes of wicker, rope, and wood. As striking inside as it is out, the idea of a holiday cabin has certainly been promoted to a luxury level.
