Welcome to this oasis in the Noardburgum region of The Netherlands. Perfect for big groups – albeit a family reunion or business trip – this old farmhouse has been cleverly split into individual apartments so you’re able to claim your own space, even in a group of twenty. By blending different types of wood with a neutral colour palette, the home pays a sort of homage to its former life as a farmhouse, simultaneously giving off modern cabin vibes with the blend of rustic and sleek touches. The addition of the skylights in the bedroom isn’t only great for light, but it also encourages a certain type of morning – picture this, you rise with the sun, make your way into the kitchen to brew a fresh cup of coffee before getting back in bed with a good book. Remember to open the skylight to allow some of the fresh countryside air to waft in. Spend the rest of the day as you see fit. Take business calls, or take a client out for golf at the local course a fourteen-minute drive away. Head out to the public swimming pool or simply hire bicycles and let those two wheels take you on an adventure. Later, meet back up for drinks in the communal log cabin on the premises, but not before slipping away to the sauna or going for a quick soak in the hot tub.
