This Dutch farmhouse was designed with days outdoors in mind. The huge private terrace has a banquet-sized table for long group lunches in the sun. Towering hedges ensure your privacy and there’s a fire pit for chilly evenings. The sprawling garden is home to a swing set, trampoline and table tennis for the kids. In the heart of the Dutch countryside, meandering walks past cow fields and canals are in store for long summer days. Inside, the living room feels grand due to the traditional fireplace in the centre – perfect for a cosy family evening inside. Quirky object d’art – taxidermy and ceramics on the wall – give that distinctly country escape feel. There’s plenty of room for the group to spread out across the leather sofas in the huge living room and there’s even a piano for a group sing-song. The dine-in kitchen is home to a huge dining table and is bathed in sunlight during the day from an arched window overlooking the garden. At the end of the day, each soothing bedroom is a delight to retire to.
