Perched on the fifth floor of a honey-hued Haussmann-style building, just a stone's throw from the Luxembourg Gardens, this charming home exudes Parisian charm. Here, you're in the heart of the sixth arrondissement, one of Paris' most coveted neighbourhoods, best known for its historic architecture, upmarket boutiques and café culture. It was the latter that once enticed mid-20th-century creatives and intellectuals, including Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre, to this quintessential neck of the woods. Inside, it's an elegant canvas of high ceilings, herringbone parquet floors, elaborately moulded white walls and tall windows ushering in floods of sunlight. Enjoy views of the peaceful shared courtyard from the beautifully-equipped kitchen while preparing delicious meals. We especially love the open-plan living area, adorned with plush upholstery, a stylish dining set-up, ample bookshelves and a majestic marble fireplace. After a restful slumber, open the timber-framed glass doors and step outside onto the balcony to admire pretty street views with your morning coffee. Enjoy a morning stroll through the Luxembourg Gardens, just three minutes from your doorstep, passing the palace until you reach the famous Church of Saint-Sulpice and its surrounding swanky boutiques.

About Montparnasse & Catacombs

This part of town is mostly residential but works well as a base for exploring the charms of the nearby 6th and the 7th arrondissements. It was famously home to a community of prominent twentieth-century artists and intellectuals - Simone de Beauvoir, Jean-Paul Sartre, Max Ernst and Pablo Picasso to name a few. Parc Montsouris is one of the city's most colourful public spaces and well worth seeking out. Be sure to check out the Roman Catacombs too if you're of the morbid disposition - stacks of skulls and bones await you!
