This recently restored apartment can be found in the lively neighbourhood of Cannaregio. It’s tucked away from the crowds of tourists but still benefits from easy access to all of Venice’s sights, as well as plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. You need only stroll a few minutes to reach the canal-side, where you can spend your evenings sipping Spritz and watching the Vaporetto boats go by. The apartment also looks out over Groggia Park, a real oasis in the heart of the city. It’s the perfect spot for a picnic and a moment of peace and quiet, and also has a swimming pool, rowing club, and a theatre – it’s hard to believe how central it is. If you seek tranquillity on a city break, this apartment is a lovely choice. A narrow Juliet balcony runs the length of the home, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors flooding the space with light. It’s elegant yet comfortable, an ideal home from home. Whether you spend your stay admiring art in the city’s museums and galleries, or getting lost meandering through the maze of narrow streets and bridges, you’ll be glad to return to this characterful home each evening.
