Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

The setting for this smart studio apartment is as central as it gets. You're placed just a two-minute walk from the bustling square of Puerto Del Sol, officially the centre point of Spain. The perfect spot to get your bearings on the city, you can blaze a trail to all the must-sees corners of Madrid on foot from here. Get off to a flying start at the imposing and arguably prettiest square in the city, Plaza Major – just five minutes away on foot. If you fancy hopping off the tourist trail, stroll to Madrid's emblematic Retiro Park (just fifteen minutes on foot) to join the Madrileños at one of the many open-air cafés. Surrounded by ornate fountains and scenic lakes, the bustle of the city seems a million miles away. Then dive into the surrounding streets for the local's favourite pastime, 'ir de tapas' (that's Tapas hopping to us). Back at home, while this loft-style apartment housed in a handsome 19th-century building may be studio living, we think it's rather perfectly formed. It's easy to see why guests rave about how light-filled and pristine the space feels. There's all you could need for a bolthole in the city, including a compact kitchen space for firing up the coffee pod machine and rustling up some breakfast. And a charming Juliet balcony to perch on with your morning cuppa as the streets awaken below.

About Puerta del Sol

Puerta del Sol is the epicentre of the city and home to Madrid’s most famous meeting point – ‘Oso y El Madroño’, the bear with the strawberry tree. The central square of this neighbourhood is quite literally where all the roads in the Iberian peninsula lead to, which means it’s really hard to get lost if this is where you want to go. This area is popular both day and night, with buskers, natives, and tourists snapping photos of some of Madrid’s most iconic sights.
