Dating back to the 17th century, this country retreat sits in the pretty hamlet of Sant Pau d'Ordal. From your front door, you can stroll five minutes to a handful of restaurants and bars, and the surrounding countryside is dotted with vineyards to explore. Barcelona is just a half-hour drive away too, so you can spend the day spotting Gaudi's masterpieces in the big city. The atmosphere here is blissfully peaceful, with church bells clanging on a Sunday morning and birds flitting between the trees in the garden. A series of plant-dappled courtyards and secluded terraces make up the outside space, shared between the three separate apartments that make up this home. Thick stone walls keep things cool inside, and wood beams run overhead for that traditional farmhouse feel. Each apartment has its own living area, so you’ve got three kitchens, three lounges and a big dining room for the whole group to choose from. Most of the bedrooms have direct access to an outdoor space too, be it a balcony or a sunny courtyard with tables and chairs.
