Austria’s Mariapfarr region is a land of towering mountains tipped with snow and wildflower meadows. This apartment sits in a resort in a picture-perfect Mariapfarr hamlet, complete with a steepled church and chalet-style houses. There are a couple of supermarkets in town and a smattering of local restaurants should you fancy an evening out. For a day on the slopes, head to nearby Mauterndorf, a ten-minute drive away. The apartment is part of a serviced resort, so you have all the comforts of a hotel stay with the independence of self-catering. There are a couple of shared swimming pools, a spa with saunas, hammams and a Jacuzzi, and onsite restaurants and bars. Retreat to your private apartment for sweeping views of your mountain surrounds from the cosy living room. It’s loft-style living with an open kitchen, dining and living room where plush velvet chairs adorn the dining table and breakfast bar and huge sloped windows flood the place with natural light.
