Executing – in style, might we add – the seemingly impossible feat of being right in the middle of it all while exuding total tranquillity, this home in Madrid is quite the overachiever. It sits in the affluent neighbourhood of Madrazo, tucked away on a side street and just a five-minute stroll from the glitzy Gran Vía. Perched up high on the fourth floor and boasting a private rooftop terrace, this chic urban oasis provides the perfect escape. Before you can even step through the door, this home's elegant facade and majestic marble entryway will sweep you off your feet. The interior is just as impressive. Exquisitely renovated, it's brimming with contemporary comforts while maintaining timeless original features, including high ceilings and large windows, ushering in floods of sunlight. We especially love the chic open-plan living space, where floor-to-ceiling French doors reveal four street-facing balconies – a lovely spot to enjoy your morning coffee. Though, let's not forget the real showstopper – the rooftop terrace. Catch some rays here between adventures and, in the evenings, enjoy a glass of wine on the plush sofas as the sun sinks below the terracotta-tiled rooftops.

About Las Letras

Barrio de Las Letras is the part of Central Madrid that used to home some of the greatest Spanish literary minds, from Cervantes to Lope de Vega and Quevado. It hasn’t lost any of its bohemian spirit – even today, the narrow streets are filled with bookstores, quirky shops and intimate bars where friends often meet for an afternoon drink. Las Letras is also home to the trio of the...
